Rev. Eric Stetson preachingRev. Eric Stetson was born in 1979 and has lived most of his life in northern Virginia. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 2001 with a B.A. in Religious Studies and Philosophy. He is an ordained minister with Home Missions Church, a network of Charismatic ministers who believe in universal reconciliation. He is an active member of Universalist National Memorial Church in Washington DC, where he serves as a liturgist, Bible study teacher, and occasional guest preacher.

Eric is in the process of planting a new church in Nashville, Tennessee, called Agapeosis Fellowship. It will begin holding services in November 2009, and Eric will serve as one of its three pastors.

Eric is the founder and executive director of The Christian Universalist Association, an ecumenical, interdenominational organization for individuals, churches and ministries that believe in Christian Universalism.

He is also the founder and executive director of The Council of Wisdom, an international, interfaith organization for broad-minded, forward-thinking people to dialogue and take action on important issues in the world.

Eric Stetson is the author of a book, Christian Universalism: God's Good News For All People, which is featured here on Christian-Universalism.com. He also writes articles, has spoken at conferences and given radio interviews.

Before becoming a Christian, Eric spent several years as a member of the Baha'i Faith. He has explored many different religions and spiritual paths throughout his life. In addition to the Christian and Universalist traditions, he also draws inspiration from Transcendentalism, Sufism, and some Eastern religions and philosophies.
