It has been about a week and a half ago since I stumbled across your site [Christian-Universalism.com] one day. Up until that time I believed in a literal eternal hell in which all non-believers, and even those who had never had a chance to hear about Jesus Christ would be tortured without mercy forever. This was very difficult for me to accept because I didn't know if everyone I love would go to heaven if something should happen to them. I think the only way I kept my sanity is by forcing myself to think about something else every time those thoughts entered my mind. But sometimes when I was around one of my loved ones who I wasn't sure about I would just have to leave the room because I couldn't stand to look at them and think about what agony they would be in if they passed away in the near future. Even typing this email right now is making me cry. Anyway, I am still in the process of reading the articles on your site and I cannot tell you how much I hope I can believe this entirely new concept. I am 20 years old and I have believed in the eternal, torture chamber of hell for as long as I can remember. I am just now beginning to question everything I have been taught and decided I need to study this all for myself instead of just believing everything that a pastor or preacher says. I hope you will pray that the Lord will open my heart and mind to find out what He is really like and what He was trying to teach people while He was on earth. So, I just thought I would thank you for taking the time to put all the articles on this website.
